Sewing machines for widows

Hannah House Family (HHF) serves orphans and widows who lack access to education and resources to lead healthy lives. With a gospel-centered approach, HHF impacts the lives of at-risk women and children in Burundi by meeting both physical and spiritual needs.

HHF runs a small orphanage where 16 kids attend school and participate in nightly Bible lessons. HHF also works among the most vulnerable in their community, including widows, refugees, those with disabilities, and those persecuted for their faith, ethnicity, or socio-economic standing. Many widows participate in HHF’s six-month sewing program, Women Stand Up, where they learn how to sew and run a small business to move toward self- sufficiency. HHF also builds homes for widows.
